The Role: This position’s primary responsibility is to provide secretarial support to the Director and the department of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLICE) at CWU. The majority of work is secretarial duties such as answering phones, calendaring, creating correspondence, filing, mail processing, scheduling various space reservations, records retention, budgetary fiscal support, preparing reports, taking minutes, ordering supplies, and coordinating travel arrangements. There is some expectation of fiscal and accounting support in the form of monthly reconciliation, processing travel requests and more. The Director of SLICE provides direct supervision of the position. Job Duties Office & Secretarial Support: - Maintain SLICE general and/or staff members’ calendar(s) and appointments; schedule and arrange departmental meetings. - Answer telephone(s); receive and refer visitors including university personnel, students, and/or the public including providing student engagement information, services, and experiences. - Assist in event planning and execution including contract intake, space reservations, logistical coordinator, and day of support as needed. - Respond to inquiries regarding departmental/University procedures and services; identify issues, provide options, and exercise knowledge of procedures to assist others. - Prepare correspondence, meeting notices and agendas, reports, schedules, etc.; proofread material; take and maintain minutes and create agendas for meetings; make copies. - Act as a resource person for departmental personnel; participate on committees and/or meetings at CWU. - Perform word processing tasks; use spreadsheets and database software to develop and maintain records; prepare spreadsheets, etc. - Offer support with Presence software management, the SLICE student engagement platform. - Exercise discretion regarding written or telephone communications.| - Serve as liaison between students, departments, faculty, administrators, staff and/or other institutions. - Receive, identify, sort, and distribute a high volume of electronic and paper documents including mail, messages, records, office supplies, etc. - Conduct research on student engagement best practices as needed. - Actively engage in recruitment and hiring of new employees as assigned by supervisor. The Role: The Early Childhood Learning Specialist 3 provides quality care and early learning educational instruction to meet the needs of children aged 1 months to 12 months of age enrolled in the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC). This position is responsible for creating, managing, and assessing the activities and classroom environments, Creative Curriculum lesson plans monthly, indoors and outdoors, and for the daily curriculum and hours of the program. This position works as a team with other staffing at the Rainbow Center to lead the learning for infants. This position will be able to build positive strength-based relationships with staff and families. This position leads student staff to supplement a staff/child ratio of 1:7 on toddler side and 1:4 on infant side in the program. Provide additional support as needed when other ECPS 3 are absent or on leave. Prepare infant food and formula and breast milk bottles to the infants. We use Creative Curriculum at Rainbow Center and create lesson plans for infants and toddlers following this Curriculum. This position includes parent and staff communication, partnering with coworkers to create a positive environment, diaper changes, moving and sitting, meal service, daily documentation on each child and follow very detailed rules and procedures and policies. Provides switch work as a backup for technicians by dialing into switch via pc, ensuring dial tone, line equipment corrections or changes, utilizes this same tool for verification projects. Ensures accuracy of telephone records, by entering applicable changes made by technicians in the field, into the current plant system. Researches record discrepancies, such as incorrect customer locations, by using the plant system, CAD system, maps, and any old systems that may have some history. This process is also used on a difficult assignment. This accurate data will then be entered into the current system and any appropriate corrections will be made where applicable. Performs switch work for all cutover activity. Assists in the assignment of special circuits where applicable. Builds and corrects addresses as needed for service order activity. Completes TC failures, by issuing manual service orders to coordinate transmission of data between the switch and MACC system. Processes and completes MACC service orders that fail Connex stage. Completes disconnect orders for delinquent accounts. Supports Technicians by answer questions about port status, plant records and provisioning Supports customer service by responding verbally or in writing to inquiries relating to customer's service and records. Aids in achieving the correct 911 address for a customer. Builds E911 addresses in MACC Shares workloads with other assigners as the schedule may determine or absences occur.
