Our Roofing Supplement Specialists work closely with our sales representatives, insurance adjusters and homeowners to ensure the job is done right and for the right price. This position is responsible for negotiating and preparing insurance supplements using Xactimate software detailing the full scope of each project. The ideal candidate has previous roofing industry experience with knowledge of the roof insurance claim process and the ability to quickly learn a variety of advanced roofing systems.
Responsibilities
Monitor and follow up on all existing claim invoices, with the purpose of achieving an agreed scope.
Monitor mortgage company involvement on insurance checks, and receive claim payment releases from the mortgage company
Generate detailed cost estimates from measurements and photos
Create cost comparisons using historical data of similar projects
Solicit cost estimates from subcontractors
Monitor multiple projects and prioritize tasks within projects
Create and present scope justifications to insurance adjusters
Achieve weekly/monthly quota of approved claims
Enter job expenses into CRM, and be able to track actual costs on each trade of a project
Use knowledge of job costs to present proper scope to insurance adjuster
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in roofing industry with experience monitoring property damage claims
Prior claims adjusting experience, preferred
Knowledge of applicable local laws and building codes
Effective negotiation and communication skills
Active listening, clear and concise communication, empathy, problem solving
Ability to set ladder and walk a residential/commercial roof
Knowledge of Xactimate Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
