Edible Arrangements
Moreno Valley CA, US
Moreno Valley CA, US
$19-$22 Hourly
The perfect opportunity for floral and restaurant managers!Edible Arrangements is now hiring creative store managers in the Inland Empire! So what does it mean to be a Store Manager? What are you expected to do? What does your job entail?Even though it can mean many things to a lot of different businesses there are some core concepts that will always serve you well. Here are some things that we look for and expect from our store managers.1) Leadership: This goes without saying but we will cover it anyway. A great leader can and will inspire those under them to persevere during the busy, tough and trying times. Do you inspire confidence? Can you read your staff and know when to push and when to hold back? We need people who understand that everyone doesn't learn the same way or at the same speed. Knowing this and realizing that YOU are only as strong as your weakest link is paramount. This will ensure that you are constantly trying to mold, shape and influence. Who cares if you are fantastic with numbers when you can't translate that to your staff? Fiscally Responsible: This is the best skill that every owner will love you for! Everyone looks at the total sales and uses this to measure a business. People who have managed a store in any capacity knows this could not be further than the truth. A store needs many things to run and this must all be accounted for. As a Store Manager you would be expected to have a firm grip around:1)Payroll: Must understand percentage based goals and how to consistently hit them every week.2)Scheduling: Must understand how to schedule efficiently ensuring all shifts are covered without excess. If you can schedule efficiently you will keep payroll down.3)Fruit Cost: Every store needs product to run and our is fruit. We also use percentage based goals for this as well. Knowing how much you need on a weekly basis is huge as you will be responsible for the ordering. Ordering to little will result in having to buy more expensive fruit from alternate locations and ordering to much will result in higher waste that will end up in the trash because the fruit went bad.4) Environment: Here at Edible Arrangements we're involved in the business of fruit and chocolate.. so naturally.. we need the service to match the beautiful product we sell!We want an atmosphere that welcomes business as opposed to turning it away. An environment that says yes to customers instead of no. This starts from the top on down. As a team mirrors their coach, a staff will mirror their manager. If you are full of energy, you will tend to look for staff that is full of energy. If you get excited over orders, you will notice your staff get excited over orders. They are by definition an extension of you. Is this something you can see yourself doing? Can you create this environment?

Job Description
The perfect opportunity for floral and restaurant managers!

Edible Arrangements is now hiring creative store managers in the Inland Empire!

So what does it mean to be a Store Manager? What are you expected to do? What does your job entail?

Even though it can mean many things to a lot of different businesses there are some core concepts that will always serve you well. Here are some things that we look for and expect from our store managers.

1) Leadership: This goes without saying but we will cover it anyway. As a Store Manager you would be expected to have a firm grip around:

1)Payroll: Must understand percentage based goals and how to consistently hit them every week.

2)Scheduling: Must understand how to schedule efficiently ensuring all shifts are covered without excess. If you can schedule efficiently you will keep payroll down.

3)Fruit Cost: Every store needs product to run and our is fruit. We also use percentage based goals for this as well. Knowing how much you need on a weekly basis is huge as you will be responsible for the ordering. Ordering to little will result in having to buy more expensive fruit from alternate locations and ordering to much will result in higher waste that will end up in the trash because the fruit went bad.

4) Environment: Here at Edible Arrangements we're involved in the business of fruit and chocolate.. so naturally.. we need the service to match the beautiful product we sell!

We want an atmosphere that welcomes business as opposed to turning it away.
