Position is contingent upon contract award.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Operations and Planning Analysis Subject Matter ExpertSummary: This position involves research, analysis and the development of recommendations and reporting regarding Operational Plans (OPLANs), concept development, and naval integration efforts in support of 2d Marine Division G-3 Plans Section.Responsibilities:Conduct vulnerability analysis of 2d Marine Division aligned areas of operations and develop reports, recommended actions, and/or input to OPLANs. Ensure analysis and recommended actions describe reconciliation of 2d Marine Division capabilities with the demands of theater and global campaign plans as published by Marine Components and current strategic guidance.Prepare these documents to be of sufficient caliber, as determined by the G-3 staff, to facilitate executive level decision making through the three-star level.Conduct analysis and develop recommendations regarding future plans, methodologies and processes, to enhance plan's quality for the 2d Marine Division G-3. Provide recommendations to 2d Marine Division regarding effectively balancing operational requirements against available and limited resources by analyzing the impact of budget, material readiness, and manpower availability against necessary training to enhance survivability and complete all Mission Essential Tasks.Conduct functional analyses and develop products that mitigate vulnerabilities. Products shall include reports that detail prototype technologies recommendations regarding the execution of 2d Marine Division operational planning, effectiveness, and readiness, which align to Theater campaign plans and joint exercises, various contingency plans, Operational Plans, Marine Corps Force Management Plan, and II MEF Annual Training Guidance and the 2d Marine Division Campaign Plan.Develop these products according to Marine Corps Planning Process Doctrine; events and milestones shall be captured in 2d Marine Division Training and Exercise Employment Plans (TEEP), which best posture 2d Marine Division for sustained warfighting readiness, enhanced survivability, and improved mission accomplishment, also published in a quarterly Fragmentary Order.Conduct analysis and develop recommendations regarding 2d Marine Division aligning its efforts to Man, Train, and Equip its forces according to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and Higher Headquarters (HHQ) requirements balanced against current capabilities and readiness of the units sourced against these requirements.
