JOB TITLE: PERSONNEL MANAGER - RANDLEMAN, NCRESPONSIBLE FOR:- Conduct preliminary interview and testing of prospective employees- Maintain Employee Files- Benefits Administration - Safety Training and Safety Supplies- Employee HandbookMAJOR ACTIVITIES:- Performs the preliminary interview and administers the testing requirements for prospective employees.- Ensures that prospective employees pass the required drug screening and obtain the required safety gear before reporting to work.- Conducts Orientation for new employees, including issuing Employee Handbook, locker assignments, entry fobs.- Follows the progression of new employees through the probationary period, salary adjustments, benefit eligibility, training etc.- Follows the progression of employees in training programs to ensure that the required material is covered and reviews given.- Onboards new employees for insurance and other benefits.- Acts as contact for insurance questions or problems.- Files Workers Compensation Claims and keeps abreast of outstanding claims.- Aids supervisors in accident investigation.- Maintains Personnel files for employees - Electronic and hard file.- Maintains Safety records and keeps required safety training up to date.- Works with First Response team.- Maintains MSDS books.- Heads up the Safety Committee, maintaining minutes of safety meetings and training logs for ISO procedures.- Maintains Hazardous Inventory and Inspection of Fire Extinguishers.- Requests work orders for maintenance from the Safety Committee.- Keeps employee handbooks and Personnel Policy manual current.- Follows up with employee purchases and enters requisite payroll deductions.- Maintains inside training programs and works with instructors to set uptraining as needed.- Attends training seminars and job fairs as requested.- Other general office duties, reports as required by Supervisor.RESPONSIBLE FOR WORK OF OTHERS/SUPERVISORY POSITION: NoREQUIREMENTS:High School Education or Equivalent- A Two-year Associates Degree and minimum Five years experience- Computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook, Ability to effectively communicate policy and procedure on a variety of levels, ability to read, write and converse in the English language, have analytical thinking, the ability to manage files and records, knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations.THE COMPANY:United Brass Works is a manufacturer of high-quality industrial valves for a variety of applications.
