The incumbent must be a highly driven individual that will be responsible for leading the Quality department, and stepping in to cover in the absence of the supervisor and must be able to cover the current day’s production, performing work inspecting the quality of the poles, leading associates, and training new Leads and employees in the department, additionally you will:   Responsibilities: Check arriving materials to ensure that they meet quality specifications. Responsible for inventory management and stop observation cards Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications. Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models. Must be able to conduct interviews and vet candidates for the quality department. Must be able to coach and mentor employees and be able to document non-conformance to reports. Write test and inspection reports describing results, recommendations, and needed repairs. Work with fellow personnel in the Quality Control department in all areas of production. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Actively participates in department safety and be able to conduct Toolbox Talks, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policy and procedures. Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments. Must be able to write Non-Conformance Reports and be able to train for RFID, Static and Cosmetics Analyze and interpret prints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. Notify Quality Supervisor of readiness for inspection and make any indicated changes or corrections.  Incumbent is expected to assist other crews with other departmental work and cleaning.    Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): A high school diploma or GED preferred. As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's "go-to" in developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store.
