As a Behavior Technician, you will support teachers and school administrators by working with students with behavior challenges in a classroom setting. You may be working one-on-one with a student in a mainstream classroom or be asked to support multiple students in a separate classroom designed to meet their unique educational needs. Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, as determined by the school district, and the level of intervention they require will be determined according to the parameters outlined in their individual education plans (IEP) or 504 plans.
