Position Overview
Skills/Qualities Required:
Technical education specializing in Machinist skills or 2 years+ equivalent experience.
CNC machinist a plus.
Must be able to read and understand written directions.
Solid working knowledge of machine tools and equipment such as lathes, milling, shapers, and grinders.
Accurately use measuring equipment and hand tools.
Ability to operate machine shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Must be able to write legibly and fill out maintenance work orders.
Must be able to stand continuously for 10-hour shifts.
Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE.
Shift: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday
Salary range: $27-$30/per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of machine components
Fabricate or modify parts to make/repair machine, tools or maintain machines and minimize downtime.
Applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and procedures.
Use of: Lathes, Milling machines, Saws, Grinders, Drills, etc.
Welding and torch cutting.
Monitor, maintain and adjust process to produce to specifications.
Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Record approved and defective units or finished products.
Assist in machine and facilities maintenance projects.
Design and fabricate solutions to machine problems.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
