ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform a variety of face-to-face registration, pre-registration, walk in outpatient scheduling, and collection functions for all patients including self-pay patients.
Utilize electronic insurance verification system to verify insurance benefits and determine copay and/or coinsurance for the patient’s services; ask all eligible patients for copay and/or coinsurance to meet monthly Point of Service goals.
Contacts patients via phone for necessary information pertaining to registration, billing and financial responsibility via our pre-registration process.
Assists patients at time of service with general benefit and financial responsibility inquires and posts payments to patient accounts as appropriate.
Manages time effectively to perform complete registration questionnaires while meeting departmental productivity standards in compliance with system productivity policies. Uses time to complete other departmental duties when patients cannot be registered.
Maintains high attention to detail by reviewing all work for completeness and accuracy in compliance with system quality assurance policies. Completes registrations to meet department accuracy standards for error-free work as demonstrated on the monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
Understand basic Registration processes and provide feedback to management on issues that impede timeliness or quality of Registration and work with management to resolve.
Independently review assigned reports/work queues to ensure goals and deadlines are met.
Maintains current knowledge of insurance requirements communicated by email, memorandum, educational matrices and in-services.
Seeks assistance from Financial Counselors when needed to maintain patient flow while resolving financial issues. Communicates effectively with service delivery areas when unresolved financial issues threaten appointment schedules.
Respects the rights and dignity of all patients. Provides and maintains patient privacy at all times. Is compliant with HIPAA guidelines and privacy practices, patient confidentiality and patient rights.
Escorts customer/employees to their requested location when possible. (Site Specific).
Immediately approaches a customer or employee who seems lost and offers assistance.
Takes ownership of a customer’s problem. Ensures the matter is resolved in a timely manner if able or exculpate to the appropriate department.
Functions as a team member to organize and prioritize responsibilities to complete daily work requirements:

POSITION SUMMARY

ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Reports for scheduled shifts on time and in a professional manner with regard to behavior, telephone courtesy, dress, identification, and communication with patients’ colleagues, and outside agencies.
2. Works closely with the provider and leadership to continually improve the patient experience though daily patient care, clerical support, ongoing projects and assumes additional duties as needed in a self-directed manner.
3. Prepares the patient for the visit by taking vital signs, documenting and order entry within the EPIC system, arranging and coordinating support and ancillary services for patient care, preparing patient rooms for visits, stocking exam rooms, preparing schedules, and providing general support to the providers and patients. Performs specific specialized tests (i.e. pulmonary function tests, phlebotomy procedures) as needed.
4. Provides for a safe patient experience through adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, manufacturer standards and reports any potential equipment malfunctions or safety violations.
5. May support a variety of clerical office functions including calls, documentation, scanning, etc.
6. Within scope of Medical Assistant, demonstrates clinical knowledge and focuses on customer service to answer and triage patient telephone calls. Records complete and accurate messages and obtains necessary instructions from providers and nurses, etc. when appropriate.
7. Supports internal and external customers, to maintain a superior customer experience across the continuum of care through teamwork. Communicates professionally with patients, providers, and co-workers at all times. Actively participates and is engaged in staff meetings.
8. Collaborates with leadership and other staff to recommend changes to improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of patient care.

Education: Must be a high school graduate or its equivalent.

Position Summary:
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospitals patients, employees, and visitors. Performs lead role for kitchen service activities and the delivery of food in consultation with the Chef, Managers, Supervisors, and Clinical Dietitians.
Accountabilities:
Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients/clients served, i.e. infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food. Cuts, pours, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes. Uses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, including choppers, slicers, mixers, and blenders.

Skills: Capable of operating kitchen equipment, have good math and communication skills, be able to read and speak English, have the ability to learn how to change and convert recipes as needed and to learn special diet production needs. Must have a basic understanding of culinary basics: cooking temperatures and proper labeling/rotation of food product.

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services in southern Michigan and Ohio. POSITION SUMMARY
Functioning as a team member within a patient centric care delivery model for high quality and service within the practice setting. Able to proficiently and effectively navigate through multiple information technology platforms and applications. Prepares the patient for the visit by taking vital signs, documenting and order entry within the EPIC system, arranging and coordinating support and ancillary services for patient care, preparing patient rooms for visits, stocking exam rooms, preparing schedules, and providing general support to the providers and patients. Performs specific specialized tests (i.e. pulmonary function tests, phlebotomy procedures) as needed.
4. Provides for a safe patient experience through adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, manufacturer standards and reports any potential equipment malfunctions or safety violations.
5. May support a variety of clerical office functions including calls, documentation, scanning, etc.
6. Within scope of Medical Assistant, demonstrates clinical knowledge and focuses on customer service to answer and triage patient telephone calls. Records complete and accurate messages and obtains necessary instructions from providers and nurses, etc. when appropriate.
7. Supports internal and external customers, to maintain a superior customer experience across the continuum of care through teamwork. Communicates professionally with patients, providers, and co-workers at all times. Actively participates and is engaged in staff meetings.
8. Collaborates with leadership and other staff to recommend changes to improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of patient care.

ProMedica Bay Park Hospital caters to communities east of the Maumee River. Our campus includes a state-of-the-art community hospital with 91 private beds and a professional office building dedicated to doctors' offices and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as a treatment and diagnostic center. The hospital itself was designed with patient comfort and healing in mind, with wider hallways, single-patient rooms and an abundance of natural light.
Position Summary:
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospitals patients, employees, and visitors. Performs lead role for kitchen service activities and the delivery of food in consultation with the Chef, Managers, Supervisors, and Clinical Dietitians.
Accountabilities:
Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients/clients served, i.e. infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food. Cuts, pours, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes. Uses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, including choppers, slicers, mixers, and blenders.
Previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of meals, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts to be obtained and prepared. Responsible for menu selection and completion.
Plans and coordinates cooking schedules so that meals will be ready at required times.
Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Alerts Manager to problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies. Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, or other unusual conditions.
Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards. Ensures that sanitary levels are maintained throughout the food preparation process as well as throughout the workday.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education: None required.
Skills: Capable of operating kitchen equipment, have good math and communication skills, be able to read and speak English, have the ability to learn how to change and convert recipes as needed and to learn special diet production needs. The candidate needs to be able to deal effectively with a fast-paced environment and be open to new ideas and be willing to take instruction. Must have a basic understanding of culinary basics: cooking temperatures and proper labeling/rotation of food product.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or GED. Culinary degree preferred, but not required
Skills: Specialized training in food preparation/culinary techniques
Years of Experience: 1 year in food production preferred
Certification: Food Handler Card or Serv Safe preferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
