Summary

The Tool Room Custodian is responsible for scheduling/ performing all maintenance of assigned tooling. • Ensure calibrated items in tool room are maintained in accordance with calibration requirements

• Request/purchase/implement new tooling

• Schedules and coordinates tool calibration ensuring that calibrated tools are always available

• Ensure organization and cleanliness of tools and tool room

• Create and maintain inventories and status sheets

• Create periodic reports for supervision and management

• Follows GOP’s and assist in compliance

• Works closely with QC/QA in proper tool control methods and compliance

• Assist maintenance team in all efforts involving tools and GSE

• Operate forklifts as necessary

• Safety of the workforce

• Readiness of tooling and GSE

Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with basic tools and their functions.
  • Minimum of 1 year within a similar position or job functions.
  • Strong organizational, planning and coordination skill with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Experience working in tool room or GSE repair environment a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with tracking and scheduling calibration a plus.

Summary

The Tool Room Custodian is responsible for scheduling/ performing all maintenance of assigned tooling. The Tool Room Custodian coordinates and maintains all aspects of assigned tools and assist GSE custodian with upkeep. Works independently without direct supervision, must be responsible, industrious and motivated.
