The successful candidate will work with the CFO in various functions of accounting. Responsibilities: -Accounts Payable-analyze, verify, and process invoices for payment -Communicate with vendors regarding payment statuses -Reconcile vendor statements, along with research and correct any discrepancies -Process P&L reports for the accountant -Bank and credit card reconciliation -Submit Sales Tax -Enter accounting data into the computer system -Verify and process payroll entries -Ensure accuracy of financial data for reporting -Assist with the preparation of financial reports to support month-end, quarter-end and year-end -Handle confidential accounting and personnel information -Perform additional responsibilities and duties as required, including assisting in Accounts Receivable when necessary Skills: -Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Accounting or other relevant field -5 years’ experience in accounting role -Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles -Experience with Excel a plus -Proficient in understanding financial statements -High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Eager to work independently as well as part of a team -Strong initiative and willingness to learn Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000 per year
