The challenge
GE Appliances runs a large-scale campus program, hiring 500–600 interns and co-ops plus 80–100 entry-level employees every year across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, HR, Supply Chain, MIS, Computer Science and multiple engineering disciplines — with a team of one recruiter and one part-time coordinator. They were operating across roughly 45 schools with minimal centralized tracking, siloed recruiting functions competing across business units, manual resume review, interview scheduling that required lining up volunteer recruiters well in advance, and manual analytics.
The solution
University Relations Manager Dr. Jessica Nguyen led the transition from Yello to RippleMatch for event tracking, sourcing, applicant review and interview scheduling, layered on top of the existing Workday ATS. The team narrowed to 15 core partner schools while using RippleMatch to reach candidates nationally through multi-school virtual sessions, and trained 150+ volunteer recruiters to help run interviews at scale.
The results
GE Appliances’ single recruiter filled 466 roles in one year, while the team gained real-time visibility into events attended, student engagement, pipeline status, GPA, school and major mix, geographic origin and offer/acceptance rates — all without adding headcount.
