Oct 27, 2020 - The Brookings Institution completed a case study on JobGet as part of the Spotlight Series: Local Recovery Efforts. The series is a part of the COVID-19 metro recovery watch.

The case studes findings state that "Mobile platforms such as JobGet are a critical component for employment programs to include in a larger effort to pivot to remote service delivery over the next year."

Additional Key findings include: "Not everyone can afford to have a computer at home, and many people rely on computers at public libraries and career centers to apply for jobs and access information and services. These access points are typically closed to in-person visitors during the COVID-19 lockdown. A mobile hiring app such as JobGet provides an accessible solution for job seekers who do not have home internet access, given that mobile phones are more common. Its efficiency and accessibility allow JobGet to be successful in connecting thousands of job seekers to employers."

JobGet is a mobile app that helps employers and job seekers connect instantly. Employers can hire as quickly as 24 hours, and job seekers can receive job offers as quickly as 24 hours through instant messaging or video interviews. JobGet is the 2019 Global Winner of the MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge, as well as the 2019 Gold Winner of MassChallenge. The platform works closely with the Mayor's Office of Economic Development as well as hundreds of local organizations and schools.
